In Holidays

As the weather gets warmer we all start to think about our holidays. “Where shall we go, what shall we do?”

Cornwall is a beautiful part of the country, with lots to see and do. The coastline is amazing and would rival anywhere abroad. The moorland is also spectacular and peaceful, with rolling hills and rugged Tors. There are National Trust Houses and Gardens to Visit and English Heritage sites around Cornwall, so you are never far away from something to do, or somewhere to go.
If you want Shops etc ,Plymouth is only half an hour away and Truro is about an hour away.
There are many towns and villages that are worth a visit that have their own place in local history.
Bodmin has it’s Gaol  which is open for tours ,as well as just being able to look around and get a feel of conditions that prisoners had to live in.There is also a restaurant / Café where you can get something to eat or just a cup of tea or coffee.

Launceston has its Castle that sits at the top of the hill with the town below it. Again you can visit and take a tour or just wander around in the grounds and maybe have a picnic in the grounds below the castle .The town has many shops and café’s so  there is plenty to see and do.
The Green is the perfect  place to base yourself as it is quite central to most places and the peaceful surroundings are a perfect finish to a busy day.
