The Grounds

The Green is like a little hamlet set in the midst of outstandingly beautiful Cornish countryside.

We have stunning views in all directions from the tors and engine houses on Bodmin Moor, to Caradon Hill, Kit Hill and Dartmoor.

The enchanting beauty of our 20-acre grounds unfolds as you approach along the sweeping drive. There’s a large formal lawn where you’ll find the Oak Arbour, a wildflower meadow meandering towards the enchanting Lake setting and a sheltered croquet lawn. Wander through our private woods, carpeted with bluebells in spring, roam towards the look-out point to appreciate the village surroundings or enjoy apples from our orchard.

If you’re feeling adventurous step outside to explore Bodmin Moor or take the footpath from our front gate to the local pub in the pretty village of Upton Cross.

Whatever time of year you visit The Green, you’ll find a magical setting for your celebration. Choose a theme for your wedding, play games, have a treasure hunt, or walk in the woods and paddle in the river. We have 20 acres for you to enjoy!
