Function Rooms
At The Green we have tons of indoor and outdoor space for you to use for different parts of your day. Our indoor spaces include:
Wedding Barn
The wedding barn is perfect for your ceremony if you choose to get married indoors. This former milking parlour is built of Cornish stone and has a slate roof. The space has been brought bang up to date with glass balustrades and oak flooring but retains much of its quirky character with original beams, and whitewashed walls. This building is licensed for ceremonies and seats up to 140. The room is decorated with greenery and fairy lights and you are welcome to add your own ideas to create your dream setting. There’s bunting too, from our Green Touches, if you’d like to create a festival feel. We have a beautiful light curtain that we can use to make the room more intimate for smaller weddings.
Red Brick Barn
The Red Brick Barn is our main function room. It’s time to celebrate!
It’s hard to believe that our Red Brick Barn was once a cow shed. The red brick walls and original beams have been lovingly retained but the rest is pure sparkle and glamour. The front of the barn has floor to ceiling doors that open fully to views over Kit Hill and distant Dartmoor. The outside is clad in oak and there is solid oak flooring throughout. Up to 140 guests can be seated comfortably in here for your wedding meal. The room has a state of the art sound system for your evening celebrations.
The Green Room Bar
The Green Room Bar is a contemporary space, natural light pours through its spectacular glass front and there are stunning views towards Caradon Hill and the mysterious tors of Bodmin Moor. Simply decorated, with white walls and solid oak floors, it is used as a bar area and your guests can gather and relax here before the ceremony. We also use this space for the arrival meal the night before and breakfast on both mornings. The bar will be open after the meal so that guests can mingle and chill whilst we prepare the Red Brick Barn for the evening party.
Really Rustic Barn
You may want a space that you can style for yourselves and the Really Rustic Barn is perfect for that. Licensed for your ceremony and available for a drinks reception this area is yours to make your own. The room is large with huge doors opening on to the views. Its walls are made of brick and tin sheeting. We have provided festoon lighting but the rest is up to you – it’s a blank canvas waiting for your imagination to bring it to life. This barn is a little less glamorous and polished than our other indoor function spaces but if you are looking for a rustic background with an edge, then we think you will love it!
