Hollie and Thomas’s Peaky Blinders Themed Wedding at The Green

When Hollie and Thomas decided to tie the knot, they knew they wanted a 2 day wedding that would be memorable, unique, and full of character. Their love for the gritty charm of the 1920s Birmingham underworld, as portrayed in the hit series Peaky Blinders, provided the perfect inspiration. The Green, nestled in the picturesque Cornish countryside, proved to be the ideal venue for their themed celebration. Spread over 14 acres, this venue offered the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comforts to bring their vision to life.

The Setting

The Green’s versatile indoor and outdoor spaces allowed Hollie and Thomas to create a wedding experience that felt both authentic and immersive. The beautifully restored barns, with their exposed beams and stone walls, were adorned with vintage décor, creating an inviting atmosphere. 

The Attire

Guests were invited to embrace the Peaky Blinders theme, and they did not disappoint. Flat caps were the order of the day for the men, paired with sharp suits and pocket watches. The women dazzled in flapper dresses, pearls, and feathered headbands. Hollie looked stunning in a vintage-inspired gown with intricate lace detailing, while Thomas channeled his inner Thomas Shelby in a tailored three-piece suit and, of course, a signature flat cap.

The Ceremony

The couple exchanged vows in the Really Rustic Barn and the use of pampas grass throughout the décor added a romantic touch, perfectly complementing the rustic elegance of The Green.

The Reception

The reception was held in one of The Green’s Red Brick Barn. The space was decked out in Peaky Blinders style, with long round tables and more pampas grass centrepieces. The in-house catering team at The Green outdid themselves with a three course menu.

The Entertainment

In true Peaky Blinders fashion, the entertainment was a highlight of the day with games on the lawn including a sack race. One of the standout features was the laser shooting range set up in the Really Rustic Barn, providing guests with a fun and unique activity that added to the authentic atmosphere.

The Accommodation

After the celebrations, guests retreated to the comfortable and stylish on-site accommodation. With cosy cottages, a large farmhouse, and elegant guest rooms, everyone was able to relax and enjoy the festivities without the need to travel. The accommodations provided a perfect retreat, allowing guests to unwind and reflect on the wonderful 2 days.
