“The Guild of Cornish Celebrants has been set up by Nicola Le Couteur Bisson and Denise Whitehair who between have over 25 years of experience of delivering all types of ceremonies.
The Guild of Cornish Celebrants offer couples the freedom to marry in the way they want to – our strapline “your ceremony, your way” sums it up. We are following the continental approach to marriage: attendance at the Register Office to do “the legal bit”, followed by the celebration. As the celebration isn’t legal we are free to write the ceremony to include religious readings, hymns and prayers as well as rituals from any tradition. We can also add references about the couple and their family if this is requested. Additional freedoms come as we are able to make the most of the fabulous Cornish landscape by undertaking these ceremonies anywhere – indoors or outdoors, garden, moorland, beach or woodland – the choice truly is the couples. All in all we offer a really unique, personalised and bespoke ceremony, no two ceremonies will ever be the same, each will be as unique as the couple who are marrying.
With our previous experience with the Registration Service we are also in a great position to be able to advise you on how to do the legalities before your celebration takes place.
