We had a fantastic response to our Showcase Event last month when we welcomed lots of lovely couples to view The Green which was looking fabulous, thanks to our wedding partners who styled the venue and sprinkled it with some winter magic.

The Inside Track on Wedding Traditions
With Engagement season just around the corner, you might be wondering about the origin of a proposal on bended knee.
The tradition dates back to medieval times when knights would kneel before their lords to pledge allegiance and loyalty. So the natural progression was to demonstrate commitment and love on bended knee when proposing. In past times, the engagement process resembled a business transaction with both sides of the family getting involved and romance didn’t really come into the equation. Even relatively recently, your grandparents were unlikely to have had a grand proposal, more usual would have been a casual question in informal surroundings. Now of course, a lot of planning goes into the perfect proposal and whilst some still observe the tradition of proposal of one knee, like all things “wedding” these days, others prefer alternative options.
Whatever your choice, we hope the answer will be Yes!

Who’s dreaming of a White Christmas? Jenny & Kelvin may have dreamed of a White Wedding but never imagined that they would have a Snowy Wedding! But the “Beast from the East” thought otherwise! Against the odds, the intrepid couple, guests and Green team made the magic happen and the pictures are testimony to their beautiful day.
