As you can see from the stunning photos Spring had definitely sprung at The Green with lambs in the fields and bluebells in the woodlands.
The couple had a church ceremony at St Andrew’s Church in Calstock near to where Charlotte had grown up. Charlotte and Michael had hired a stunning vintage white Morris Minor as their wedding car to get Charlotte from her family home to the church and then back to The Green. On their return their guests lined the turning circle cheering before everyone enjoyed Pimms and elderflower fizz in the barn which had been decked out with our bunting and Charlotte and Michael had also added hay bales with floral throws for the rustic country look.
In the ‘Green Room’ the tables were covered with pastel coloured hessian runners and beautiful spring blooms which looked like they had just come straight from the meadow. One touch we really liked were the tables named after great love stories and characters, so romantic! The spring colours in the barn and Green Room were also reflected in the stunning bridesmaids dresses Charlotte had chosen.
Here’s what Charlotte and Michael said about their weekend;
“We planned most of the wedding from Australia and Michelle was brilliant at keeping in touch and skyping with us to make sure everything was happening when it needed to. The whole Green team was very attentive and realistic, giving us loads of much needed advice on timings and logistics to make sure our special day ran like a well oiled machine! Having Kate there on the day was really helpful, so calm and resourceful! The Green itself as a venue was wonderful. The cottages were all at a very high standard and enjoyed by all our guests. The grounds were wonderful to walk around and enjoy. We had a fantastic experience at the Green and we would thoroughly recommend it to other couples looking for a rural luxury venue!”
Thanks to the Charlotte and Michael for sharing and to Jennifer and Isobel – www.jenniferandisobel.com for taking these pics.
