Caroline and Rohan’s Relaxed Mid-March Wedding Weekend at The Green Cornwall

Set against the serene backdrop of Cornwall’s countryside, Caroline and Rohan’s mid-March whole weekend wedding at The Green Cornwall was a laid-back affair to remember. Leaving Essex behind, they, along with 60-plus loved ones, embarked on a 2 day weekend wedding filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments, making the most of the on-site accommodation.

The festivities began with a casual gathering in The Green Room bar the night before the main event. With street food sizzling and glasses clinking in cheers, guests eased into the celebratory spirit, mingling and sharing stories as the excitement for the next day’s festivities mounted.

On the morning of the wedding, Caroline and her bridal party found themselves in the Preen at the Green, the shepherd’s hut salon. They relaxed as hair was styled and makeup applied, enjoying each other’s company in anticipation of the day ahead.

Meanwhile, Rohan and his groomsmen took a more laid-back approach, getting ready in the farmhouse and sharing laughs and some dutch courage as they prepared for the day’s festivities.

The ceremony took place in the charming wedding barn. With heartfelt vows exchanged and love filling the air, Caroline and Rohan sealed their commitment surrounded by the people who mattered most.

Following the ceremony, guests gathered in The Green Room Bar to toast the newlyweds with prosecco and indulge in delicious canapés, savouring each bite as they celebrated the happy couple’s love. Photos were taken in the Really Rustic Barn.

The evening unfolded with a relaxed three-course meal, served with love and care by The Green Cornwall’s culinary team. And what better way to end the meal than with indulgent espresso martinis, setting the stage for a night of dancing and merriment.

As the evening wore on, guests kicked back and enjoyed the laid-back atmosphere, dancing in the Red Brick Barn and refuelling with pizzas to keep the party going well into the night.

Here’s what they said ” We got married at The Green in March 2024.  The venue was beautiful and allowed us to accommodate a large number of our guests from Friday through to Sunday – which gave us the weekend wedding experience we had imagined.  On the day the venue was stunning and provided a few different settings across its barns and bars.  The Green were incredibly helpful with planning all aspects of the event, but in particular our wedding coordinator Sophie was exceptional.  She ensured everything ran smoothly on the day, orchestrated the movement of people from place to place and was always one step ahead with problem solving – this allowed us to focus on each other during the day. The food was excellent both before and during the wedding, and the fry up the morning after cured sore heads. Overall we had a wonderful experience.”
