Rural Romance

Lucy and Simon's Rural Romance

Delighted to be sharing a very special wedding with you. The lovely Lucy and Simon’s wedding held at The Green in September 2017.  Special for us as Lucy is Fiona’s (who works in sales and events for The Green) niece.

In fact the whole wedding was a real family affair with Lucy’s other auntie acting as the celebrant for the ceremony and Lucy’s mum had made many of the decorations and lovingly decorated the wedding barn with voiles, flowers and greenery.  The look was magical, like stepping into a scene from a Midsummer’s Nights Dream.

The whole day was perfect, blessed with September sunshine, the drinks flowed and guests feasted on delicious food before dancing the night away.

Here’s what Lucy and Simon had to say about their day;

“My husband and I held our wedding for 80 people at The Green in September 2017 and we cannot thank the team enough for all their hard work to make our day so special. We knew this would be our venue from the moment we visited; it really does have that something special we were looking for. We stayed on site for two days meaning that we could extend the celebrations to the night before with close family and friends. The onsite accommodation is perfect and all of the guests were so happy with the beautiful cottages. Having two days also meant we had plenty of time to set up the day before the wedding, knowing it was all ready the night before allowed the morning of the wedding to flow smoothly. The venue itself is stunning and there are so many different areas to make use of, both indoors and out. The red brick barn is the perfect party space, it looked truly stunning on the day and the set up with the dance floor in the middle of the room meant that everyone was up and dancing! The team were fantastic and could not be faulted, Michelle was our contact in the lead up to the wedding and was so organised and prompt in helping us plan. On the day, Kate kept everything running smoothly and was so calm and helpful, the day felt seamless. The food was absolutely delicious, with so many compliments on the day. We could not recommend this venue more for couples who are looking for an extra special venue that still feels so relaxed and down to earth with the scope to put your own stamp on it. Everything about this venue is 5* and we cannot thank The Green enough for giving us the wedding of our dreams!”

A huge thank you to Lucy & Simon for sharing their beautiful photos and to Kerry Bartlett for capturing them – http://www.kerrybartlett.co.uk
