Right on our door step the new Caradon Trail
We are lucky to be right on the route of the new Caradon Trail that has been the work of the Caradon Hill Area Project. A heritage lottery funded project helping to recognise, conserve and enhance the areas special character. The trail is a new 17 mile route covering some of the most outstanding and beautiful parts of Bodmin Moor and its surrounding villages. Linking the rural communities in the area using mostly quite rural lanes which are ideal for walkers and cyclist.
The trail is made up of three different route which can be joined at any time. We are on the Northern circuit route taking you to the villages of Darite, Rilla Mill, Minions, Upton Cross and Pensilva. All these villages are so different even though they are relatively close to on another and have lots of offer, from the local pub to the village shop that does cream teas it’s a great chance to go and explore what is on the door step here at The Green without evening getting into your car.
The southern circuit route takes you to Liskeard, Moorswater and the countryside around the town with the Circuit link connecting both the southern and northern routes giving you a fantastic day out.
For more information and history on the trial take a look at the CHAHP website http://www.caradonhill.org.uk
