Holiday cottage No. 4 sleeps 4 people with a double, one twin room and a family bathroom. All our cottages have travel cots. This cottage is on the first floor of a large barn that has been converted into 3 luxury cottages all with separate access. It is very private and has a very large, decked balcony. Entrance is 4 steps from ground level.
Set right on the edge of the Lyhner valley this cottage looks down onto the canopy of our woodland and lake and river towards Kitt Hill and distant Dartmoor.
The cottage has exposed beams and a high vaulted ceiling. The large open plan lounge is full of character with the original mill workings and an exposed stone wall. The master bedroom has its own access to the balcony.
The cottage has oak flooring throughout with underfloor heating. There are integrated speakers in every room including the bathroom. With slate window sills and lots of character features this cottage is a perfect blend of contemporary luxury and Cornish heritage.
All our cottages are child friendly and we have baby and toddler packs available so you can pack a little lighter. Some of our holiday cottages are pet friendly but we keep this one pet free. We provide a selection of books, DVDs and games to keep you amused. There is an iPod docking station and amp that connects to the speakers.
We provide lots of local information to help you plan your holiday.If you use Facebook or Twitter we update these regularly with local happenings so why not follow us? In your cottage you will find a Lonely Planet to Devon and Cornwall, our own restaurant guide, our own beach guide and tourist information pack.
The kitchen is very well equipped for cooking and there is lots of local produce in our two nearby farm shops but if you fancy going out we have 2 great pubs within walking distance. The Manor House Inn is a short walk and serves great food. If you don’t feel like cooking but don’t want to go out you can enjoy our meal service; oven ready, home cooked food delivered to your cottage.
The kitchen is fitted to beyond 5 star standards with solid oak surfaces, washer/drier, dishwasher and freezer.
