Corporate events

your event, your way

The Green Cornwall offers an opportunity for a unique and memorable team building experience in a dramatic setting in the heart of Cornwall. Less than 4 hour by train from paddingtom and close the the main line station at Liskeard.

The atmosphere is a relaxed and non-corporate environment where groups can get away from all the pressures of day-to-day work and focus on developing core skills and team relationships.

It is a 14-acre private estate surrounded by stunning views and on the edge of Bodmin Moor and in easy reach of both North and South coasts.

We have woodland, a lake, a river and plenty of space to host a range of team building exercises. It is the perfect place to mix classroom theory and practical learning.

The Green offers 5 star accommodation in a large 7-bedroom farmhouse and barn accommodation together with a spacious event and function facility with WiFi.

The Green can offer catering packages to suit all needs and budgets. Facilitation is available.

Activities

At the core of the Green Team Building development is access to activities that are unique to Cornwall. These not only help develop and reinforce the groups learning but provide a memorable experience for the Team to take away.

The following are a selection of activities that are available to the group. If there are other activities that you would be interested in please let us know.

It emphasizes the importance of working closely as a team, the need for close coordination and timing, feedback and learning for continuous improvement. As the boat improves their individual and team technique a dramatic improvement in performance will reinforce the learning.

A once in a lifetime experience that will inspire.

Coasteering takes you into an alien environment.

You are actually at the point at which the sea meets the cliffs - one minute you can be traversing across barnacle-covered ledges and the next find yourself diving in to the sea to cross water-filled zawns! It takes you into remote places with no other means of access. There will be sections to climb and scramble, together with swims around headlands into caves with the opportunity of cliff jumps of all sizes! It’s a fantastic feeling being washed around by the waves and bobbing around in the ocean!

Orienteering is a challenge of navigation with map and compass.

image

Orienteering is easy to learn and develops team-working skills. The object is to run, walk to a series of points shown on the map, choosing routes–both on and off trail–that will help you find all the points and get back to the finish in the shortest amount of time. It is challenge that involves problem solving, decision-making and team working.

A deep quarry lake, a store full of rope and enough buoys to shift the Titanic. It is the perfect environment for raft building.

It’s challenging but achievable. It encourages lateral thinking. It hones problem-solving skills and gets people working together.

This experience can be topped with a go on the longest zip wire ride in the UK.

Learning to forage in the local countryside.

Find and identify wild foods to bring home and cook to provide an interesting additional to a team meal. The experience will develop team roles as well as teaching a new skill

If you are looking for a fun way to explore, a Treasure Trail is a fantastic thing to do in Cornwall to help you see the sights.

image

There are 55 Trails, which encompass the huge variety of Cornwall’s fascinating landscape, including

• quaint fishing villages, and
• stunning coastlines,
• rugged moors,
• and beautiful rivers.

The rich industrial, spiritual, and architectural heritage ensures that you will not be short of stunning Cornwall walks and treasure hunts. There are 41 walking Trails, 12 car Trails and now 2 cycling Trails.

We could also set up a treasure hunt for the team on their trip down to The Green. Turn the trip down into a task in itself.
